Cloud

Learn AWS by doing: S3, SQS, DynamoDB, IAM and Lambda with the real AWS CLI, against an emulator on your own machine. No account, no bill.

Your lab machineLive

The AWS CLI and pogi, an AWS, Google Cloud and Azure emulator, next to every lesson.

learner@linux-server:~$ aws s3 mb s3://notes

learner@linux-server:~$ aws dynamodb list-tables

learner@linux-server:~$ aws lambda invoke --function-name hello out.json

What you'll learn

Every lesson runs the real AWS CLI against pogi, an emulator of AWS, Google Cloud and Azure that runs on your lab machine. You create buckets, queues, tables, roles and functions exactly as you would in AWS, see them in a web console, and nothing you do can cost money or touch a real account.

Core skills

  • ✓The AWS CLI and its configuration
  • ✓Object storage with S3
  • ✓Message queues with SQS
  • ✓NoSQL tables with DynamoDB

Advanced topics
